My Wedding Photography Philosophy

(See the Wedding Galleries Below)

Even as a photographer, I don’t think the most important part of your wedding day is the photography. I know it’s truly about you enjoying the day so the memories you make are the most genuine. However, I see my role as following along every step of the way and doing my absolute best to capture photographs that help bring those real memories back to life.

I do love those one-off, awesome photos when everything aligns (and that happens pretty often). But I want to give you a complete story of day, not just a collection of cool but unrelated moments that don’t flow together. Every single photo doesn’t need to be worthy of a magazine cover, it just has to be valuable to you.

I’ll give you some small suggestions along the way to help make the photographs look amazing during portraits and group photos, but I do my best to step back and let everything unfold naturally for the other 85% of the wedding.

When I look through wedding galleries I captured two, five, or even ten years ago, I can still remember standing there myself and all the little things that happened along the way. And if I can remember that well as someone simply passing through one of the biggest days of your lives, I know you will too.
