We had a blast photographing this wedding in the historic town of Lambertville, NJ. Located along the Delaware river across from New Hope, the town is full of 18th and 19th century charm which served as the perfect backdrop for this loving marriage. We met the groom at a home just a few blocks from the river. Though it looked plain from the outside, inside was exactly as you’d expect from an artistic town and it was full of a range of interesting to downright strange decorations. We kept snapping away as the groom, parents, friends, and perhaps most importantly, puppy, getting ready for the wedding ceremony to come! We then headed down the road to the bridal suite in the Lambertville inn which breathtaking views of the bridge and Delaware River. We photographed the beautiful moments as the bride’s mother, a dress maker, helped her into a one of a kind and handmade wedding gown. With everyone ready for the day, an emotional first look on the river side followed which led right into puppy licks and then family photos. We then took a walk around town with the couple to photograph wedding portraits on the canal path, bridge, and by the train station. It was soon time for the ceremony and everyone took their places as guests arrived in a unique half indoor and half outdoor space. There was not a dry eye in the room as the bride walked down the aisle in a room, rings where exchanged, and marriage sealed wit a kiss. Then it was party time! Awesome entrances. Touching first dances. Hilarious toasts. Silly cake moments.  And some of the craziest dancing of the year. We couldn’t have asked for a more better wedding day to photograph. It was the perfect match for our more candid and photojournalistic style.
