It was an absolutely joy to photograph this Jersey Shore style wedding at the beautiful Clarks Landing in Point Pleasant! We split up in the morning to capture all of the moments and headed to both Asbury Park for the groomsmen and also to the brides childhood home. After suits were on, ties were tied, makeup was perfect, and dresses were zipped we captured some quick bridal party and family photos and then headed out! Everyone made their way to one of our favorite ceremony spots, St. Catherine’s Church in Spring Lake! Dating to the late 1800s, the gorgeous architecture of the church both inside and out always sets the scene perfectly and makes for timeless photographs. The ceremony was the perfect blend of the traditional catholic traditions and personality mixed in by the father as he told stories and anecdotes about the pair and their time together. We were even allowed to sneak through some doors to get behind the alter to capture some photos from the opposite angle as typical in churches.
After the ceremony, we went on a whirlwind tour of the Jersey Shore for the portraits of bridal party, family, and the couple together. We began at Divine Park, and then went to the Spring Lake Beach for ocean views, and then finally ended on the docks aalong Manasquan River behind Clark’s Landing. As the sun began to set, everyone headed in as the cocktail and reception began. With beautiful views of the river and delicious food it was the perfect evening. We captured all the big moments, from entrances, dances, and toasts but also plenty of the partying that followed and lasted late into the night.
