Spring Lake is a picturesque small town located along the Jersey Shore in Monmouth County. With miles of pristine beaches, the beautiful divine park, and a handful of amazing wedding venues all within a few miles, we find ourselves photographing there very often and always look forward to it. We met JuiLing and Chris early in this summer morning in their hotel rooms where they prepared for their upcoming marriage with a close knit group of family and friends. With the help of all the groomsmen and some internet searching, Chris eventually got his bow-tie and boutonniere looking perfect and the group made their way to Divine Park to await the bride. JuiLing, with hair and makeup perfected and looking beautiful in her dress, arrived right on queue and spotted Chris on a wooden bridge at Divine Park. After a playful first look, we jumped directly into the portraits and bridal party photos. Then, the excited pair with bridal party in tow jumped in their cars to head to The Mill Lakeside Manor.

The terrace at The Mill for the ceremony was landscaped with amazing mix of greenery with pink and white flowers spread throughout and guests couldn’t resist grabbing photos of the scenery as they took their seats. With the lake just off to her side, JuiLing walked up the aisle accompanied by her mother as Chris looking on with anticipation. The ceremony was everything one could hope for and the the flower girl even made an unexpected appearance on the alter during the exchange of rings. With bubbles filling the air after their first kiss, the newlywed couple walked hand in had to the cheer of the crowd. As guests enjoyed cocktail hour, we found the couple hidden away upstairs during a last minute practice of a carefully choreographed dance. We watched for a few minutes to learn the routine ourselves in order to capture it perfectly!

Just as the sun was setting, the entrances began and the pair wowed family and friends alike with their stunning dance performance. Several speeches followed about past friendships and the stories of how longtime friends watch the formation of Chris’ and JuLing’s relationship. An amazing time was had by all with a great dinner, a scavenger hunt on each table, dancing, many selfies, an ice cream bar, and a beautiful sunset over the lake. With members of the bridal party taking place on a traditional DJ for the reception, the music flowed perfectly and even the shoe game was played. As the afternoon drew to a close, the couple grabbed a bag of popcorn and hopped out onto the waterside deck to feed a family of swans as they swam by. We had a blast photographing this wedding day and wish the new couple the best wherever their new lives take them.

We always look forward photographing weddings and engagements on the many unique towns along the Jersey Shore throughout Monmouth County. With the ever popular beaches, stunning parks, and beautiful venues it is a part of  New Jersey and even the country like no other. We meet many couples coming from New York, Pennsylvanian, and even Virginia with long-lasting ties to the area who make the trip back for their wedding day.
