Photographs from this summer wedding at the newly opened Wave Resort within Pier Village in Long Branch and a ceremony at Our Lady Star Of The Sea Catholic church right around the corner! From getting ready through the wedding ceremony, and finally the reception this day was full of amazing moments to capture in our primarily candid style. Though we always be sure to give suggestion as needed and set up some more specifically posed photos where time allows, we let the day flow naturally and photograph as the day unfolds. Enjoy looking through some photos of this Jersey Shore wedding below!
The groom and groomsmen getting ready and nearby Ocean Place Resort and taking a casual stroll up the Long Branch boardwalk to the Wave Resort before the first look with his bride.
The dress and other bridal details are typically one of the first things we photograph when we arrive while the bridal party is still in the midst of hair and makeup.
While we focus on the candid we always try to sprinkle in some very lightly posed photos of the bride and bridal party getting ready in their robes.
Mom helping the bride with her dress, jewelry, and shoes to ensure she looks perfectly stunning before a few different first looks begins!
After the first look with the bridesmaids full of excitement, the bride wanted to privately see her father which quickly turned emotional.
The balcony of the Wave Resort off the reception room overlooking the beach and ocean was the perfect spot for the couple’s first look and then all of the bridal party, family, and couple portrait style photos. Because the church ceremony ended right when cocktail hour began we made time to capture all the posed photos before so the couple could fully enjoy the reception!
Even though he saw the bride just an hour before, it was impossible or the groom to hold back the tears and she walked up the church aisle. We always tell couple’s the first look definitely does not take away from the special-ness of the ceremony!
After prayers and readings by the priest and family members in the church, the bride and groom were ready to exchange rings!
One final blessing before walking back down the aisle together as as married couple!
After a bubble exit in front of the church, we took a trolly ride back to the Wave Resort!
Though you couldn’t tell from the photos it was raining on and off all day. That was not ideal for going down to the beach as we planned but perfect for capturing this rainbow over the water ion the below image!
Some candid photos of all of the guests enjoying cocktail hour before we moved inside to the beautiful reception room with floor to ceiling glass windows.
After entrances by parents and the bridal party, the newly couple nearly ran into their reception party and launched straight into their first dance full of smiles!
The bride planned for two special father-daughter dances and then the groom danced with his mother. We truly do not think there was a dry eye by the end of it all! The huge glass windows gave beautiful lighting and the perfect background for these special moments.
After a few quick speeches and toasts by their close friends, the dance floor was opened and the party began! Without a lot of formalities everyone was free to eat, drink, dance, and just has a great night full of fun.
