Our favorite photos from this one of a kind wedding day at the beautiful Hamilton Manor located in Mercer County, NJ. From a touching first look, to magical ceremony inside a converted barn, and finally a reception in the grand ballroom, this wedding had it all. It was the perfect day to capture in our photo journalistic style with unexpected first looks, complete with many tears, between father, brother, grandfather, and finally the groom himself! We loved using the Christmas decorations around the grounds of the Manor as part of the portraits to keep in theme with the season.

The ceremony space with the exposed wood and uplifting gave a very intimate feel despite the room being packed with family and friends. After some downright wild entrances, the reception in the grand ballroom began with touching dances and speeches that left everyone in the room teary eyed. The party took off from there with everyone in the room taking part of the fun of dancing and enjoying great food. We had a blast photographing this wedding in our candid style and hope you enjoy scrolling through just some of our favorite photos below.

Even with ten bridesmaids, everyone can still do a robe photo on the bed!

The bridal suite in the Hamilton Manor was perfect for the bride putting on the dress. The mirrors covering every wall made it a bit tricky to photograph but it was easy to ensure she looked perfect!

A first look with her father before she even made it out of the bridal suite door!

And then with the bridesmaids as she emerged into ballroom on the way to the barn.

And finally, the most touching moment of all, the couple seeing each other for the first time! It was the theme of the day so needless to say there were a few eyes that needed to be dried.

With temperatures a bit cold, we wasted no time hopping into the bridal party and family photos.

And then we took a walk around the grounds of the Hamilton Manor for portraits with the barn doors, the old truck with Christmas trees, and the pasture with string lights and a tractor. We couldn’t believe the variety we found in a pretty small amount of space that didn’t require any huge amount of walking.

Timed perfectly with the wind, we captured this photo to really show off the bride’s veil!

Soon, guests arrived and began being seated for the ceremony. Here is just one photo from it but we always take a lot during this time to try to capture different people in the room!

The bride walking down the aisle with her father along with her handing her off to her soon to be husband. We love the evolution of emotions you can see in this series of images captured just seconds apart!

The readings, exchange of the vows, and then finally the rings. You can see the variety of angles we always capture during the ceremony. There’s a few from straight up the aisle but many from the sides and back whenever possible.

A gift from the officiant (and friend) to the bride and groom. We honestly can’t quite remember exactly what it was but the couple were beyond surprised!

Photographs showing a view of the grand ballrooom, a table set up, and the cake at the this wedding at Hamilton Manor!

Entrances which flowed right into the dances. We always capture images that show the surrounding room and capture the ambiance mixed in with those up close to show the emotions. We make sure to always stand back and not be a part of the moment itself while capturing the story of the wedding day in a candid way.

Likewise, with the toasts we photograph some from the typical straight on angle but then others from the sides or even through the tables as well!

We hopped outside with the couple during dinner for  a night photos with all the Christmas trees perfectly lit up!

And finally, the general dancing and reception photos. We capture all the fun and energy on the dance floor and in the reception room for the remainder of the night!

A kiss to end the night!
