We have been counting down the days to being able to photograph this wedding day taking place at the Old Tappan Manor in Bergen County for Alisha and Brian. From capturing their engagement session at Willowwood Arboretum earlier this spring, we knew they had a natural chemistry that would make for an incredible marriage celebration and be a perfect match for our photo journalistic and candid style. During the getting ready in the morning, we bounced between bride and groom to photograph the many little details of the day and as both prepared for the day ahead. After an emotional first look on the grounds of Hilton Woodcliff Lake, we made our way to the Old Tappan Manor for lots of family photos, bridal party images, and wedding portraits of the couple together. With it’s meticulously landscaped grounds on this spring day there was no shortage of locations to utilize and photograph at!
As guests arrived, the ceremony began surrounded by dense and serene greenery. With memories of her father in a locket on her flower bouquet, her uncles took turns walking her up to the aisle. Alisha had spent the past week thinking her grandpa wasn’t able to make it to the wedding but got the surprise of her life when she saw him at the front of the aisle. He walked her the final few steps to the alter to be alongside Brian in an absolutely beautiful moment wherein many tears were shed. The ceremony was officiated by a close friend wherein vows, rings, and a kiss was exchanged to make the couple officially wed! After cocktail hour, everyone made their way into the modern Old Tappan Manor reception room as entrances kicked off. Alisha shared not only a first dance with Brian but then also with each of her uncles and grandfather. Parents and siblings shared stories about how the couples relationship has grown over the past years just how perfect they were for each other. Then the party kicked off with a ton of dancing, delicious food, and the cutting of the cake. It was a fantastic night for all and we wish the best for Alisha and Brian in their new lives together!
