Each year we photograph weddings from a wide variety of cultures and blends of customs and tradition from the around the world. This particular wedding was even more unique than usual in that it had a Coptic Egyptian ceremony at the St Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in East Brunswick!
As we began photographing this day, we focused on capturing the many candid moments of bride getting ready at her childhood home (complete with her adorable dog) and the groom with his friends and brothers at a nearby family house.
We soon made our way to the church which was packed with friends and family. Having a bit more freedom in where we could stand than a traditional Catholic ceremony, we were able to capture different angles on all of the traditions and moments. After the ceremony was over and everyone said their congratulations to the couple, we headed to North Jersey and stopped at the Eagle Rock Lookout to take some portraits with NYC off in the distance. Then we went to The Manor in West Orange with the bride and groom arriving in a classic Benz that was perfect for photos with on the driveway. After some additional portraits photos of the couple and bridal party at some of the other spots on the grounds of the Manor, we made our way inside for the cocktail hour and reception. Taking from Egyptian culture, the entrance of the couple turned into a massive dance party with nearly every guest on the dance floor before space was cleared for the couples first dance on a cloud of fog! There were toasts, a belly dancer, garter and bouquet tosses, a cake cutting and more packed between delicious meals as the night of fun continued on.
We hope you enjoy looking through these below photos and seeing just a few of the many moments we photographed at this wedding.
