We photographed this engagement session taking in the small town of Stockton New Jersey. Nestled along the rural banks of the Delaware River just North of New Hope and Lambertville, nearly every part of town looks original to when it was built in the late 1800s. Having memories of the area stretching back to their childhoods, Laura and Don knew it would be the perfect place for their engagement session. We explored the many different nooks and crannies that were meaningful to them as we snapped photos along the way. We had an amazing time photographing around Prallsville Mills, on the Delaware and Raritan Canal park trail, on and below the bridge leading into PA, as well as many other secret spots! It is always a blast to photograph weddings and engagements among these more natural, rural, and rustic parts of New Jersey. The fact that a historic town like this just an hour drive from either New York or Philadelphia always amazes us! We can’t wait to spend the day with the couple again while photographing their wedding this fall at the Mercer County Boathouse!
