These are some of our favorite photos from an engagement session at of our favorite spots in Marlboro near Big Brook Park. We were beyond thrilled when this couple told us they were totally up the adventure to go a bit off of the beaten path for these photos before their wedding day. We began walking through fields full of natural grasses with fallen trees, wildflowers, and ivy growing throughout. But that was only the start! After learning about and dodging a few different thorny plants (one of which had leaves shaped like Doritos), we eventually made it to alongside a picturesque stream flowing through these untouched the woods, took off our shoes, and went right in. After of dancing, spinning, and climbing all along the flowing water we hiked back towards where we began stopping to sit right in a field of perfectly green grass on this summer day. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year – we know it will be a total blast after seeing the connection this engaged couple has together!

A field full of grass with an ivy covered tree and the beautiful couple amongst it all!  What more could any nature lover ask for?

Just moments before we hopped into the stream. One last hurrah with the shoes still on and dress still dry!

I don’t think we could have set up a more perfect scene than this with this giant tree perfectly spanning the stream.

One last quiet moment before we said our goodbyes! Can’t wait until next year when we will photograph the wedding day in East Brunswick at the Estate at Farrington Lake!
