This wedding day was the perfect blend of heartfelt tradition and joyful celebration that took us all around Bergen County. The day began at the bride’s and grooms respective childhood homes, where they both got ready with family and friends all around.

In a twist from the norm, the groom came to the bride’s home for a first look in the living room so that they could follow up with a traditional Polish blessing with their parents.

The ceremony took place at a nearby church (St Stanislaus Kostka in Garfield), with a traditional ceremony where the couple exchanged vows and rings surrounded by family and friends.

Afterward, we made our way to Davis Johnson Park in Tenafly for portraits. The park’s gardens and quiet paths offered the perfect setting for relaxed and romantic photos of the couple and wedding party. However, a bit of rain had us running back to the cars to finish up the portrait photos at the venue.

Just as the rain cleared up, we made it to to Seasons Catering in Washington Township. Before guests arrived for cocktail hour, we had time to capture a few more portraits by the waterfall and in their ceremony space. Soon, the reception kicked off with entrances into first dances (along with a dance with both moms at the same time) a few more polish traditions, heartfelt toasts, and a packed dance floor that stayed full all night.

From start to finish, the day was filled with genuine emotion, thoughtful moments, and so much joy. It was a true honor to document it all.
